Azerbaijan. Glittery.

I only had time to visit the capital city of Baku. And it exceeded my expectations. It was cleaned up pretty nicely and its new developments along the shore the Caspian Sea, and the main boulevards running parallel, were cleverly decorated and lit up at night. As I was whizzed (almost literally) from the airport, the city looked super modern, civilised and safe.

The old town of Baku, was still being cleaned up. And it was tiny, compared to the rest and the ultramodern, glass-and-steel high rise towers around it.
