Bequia. Irregular.

Bequia is more French than British and does feel like a separate world from Saint Vincent. Historically, it was under the French rule in the 1700s, just like the rest of the Grenadines, Grenada and Saint Vincent itself. Yet, for some reason, more residual French ambiance can be felt on Bequia than on Grenada or Saint Vincent, both of which have much more British vibe. To this day, Bequia is a favourite tourist destination for the wealthy French, who visit the island arriving on board of their yachts. How curious!

Anyway, although there is not much to do on the island, it is a great place to visit to relax on of the waterfront restaurants, cafes and bars. There are not that many of them, but most are located right by the water.
