Bora Bora. Dramatic.

Considered as the most beautiful island in the world, Bora Bora is a island-come-atoll, which has little local population, just a group of upscale hotels, many of which can be reached only by boat. There is a small airstrip on the outer, north-eastern lagoon, where the hotels pick up their guests by boats.

The island looked very dramatic indeed, with the central peaks shooting out of the ocean several hundred meters up in the air. The impossibly blue waters of the lagoon surrounding the steep mountain complete the pretty picture. Yet, otherwise, there was actually rather little to do there. The local population was small, the villages on the main island had little character.
