Ghana. Amiable.

When I finally went to Ghana, for the first time, I had great expectations. I heard and read about the Ghanaians being amongst the friendliest people on Earth. Ghana’s almost entire coastline is listed as a World Heritage Site, boasting countless castles and forts, most of which had been used for the vicious slave trade. It turned out to be true, although the ‘dynamic’ arguing at fish markets did not look very pretty, or particularly friendly.

And then I fell in love with Ghana. It is a better version of The Gambia. It is better because the country is much larger and the sights are incomparable. There is so much to do in Ghana. People are equally friendly although the state of certain municipal beaches could be much improved.
