Italy. Magical.

Yeah, it once was world’s greatest empire, which, after two thousand years, still has remarkable impact on Europe’s today’s lives. The Romans gave Europe laws, roads, sewage systems, aqueducts, (Monty Python’s The Life of Brian film provides a good summary what they gave us).  There are a few magical places in Italy. Venice and Rome alone earn Italy four stars. And yet there is Florence, Pisa, the Amalfi Coast and Lake Como.

Italy has been offering its charms to me since 1995 (Ravenna, Rimini, Florence, Pisa, Venice, Rome, Padua) with a few trips to Venice and then again, almost regularly, at the Lake Como with a booster trip to Florence and Pisa. And the recent weekend escapade to the Amalfi Coast, Salerno and Sorrento.
