Kosovo.

In trouble for so long, so much yet to be rebuilt! The capital city of Prishtina looked really poor, when I visited in June 2010.  There was not much to see in the capital, a few buildings were still crumbling, some in a disastrous condition. The only tow buildings that stood out were the new government high-rise glass and steel building, and the rapidly decaying tower of the Grand Hotel.

But the population is so young! It is the youngest country in the world with the youngest population of the average age of just 25 years! And is so visible. The superb thing about Kosovo is that everyone is so welcoming and helpful, and friendly and curious of the visitors.

There is much more to Kosovo than Prishtina. There are at least two great monasteries/churches that had found their way to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
