Rarotonga.

Rarotonga used to be a kingdom. Now, part of Cook Islands, is a somewhat dependent territory that belongs to New Zealand. Well, the official status is: self-governing in free association with New Zealand. It is a very small island dominated by tourist resorts.

It was the least exciting, if not the most boring, island of the South Pacific that I visited. It was not even that pretty, either. The island was very small - it took just 45 minutes to drive around it. The beaches were not very nice and there was actually very little to do there. No sights to speak of.

The only quality was the cultural show that Ta Vara Nui village put, which was informative, cheeky and full of energy, and included great dance performance.
