Tahiti. Influential.

Tahiti is part of French Polynesia, yet its culture is so unique, it is actually a country on its own. Its language seem to have dominated many islands in the South Pacific, including islands of other nations, like Cook Islands.

The island is almost divided in two. The Tahiti Nui and Tahiti Iti. Yet, it is still a single island that looks like a figure ‘eight’ with the bottom part much smaller.

Although not the same state, Mo’orea, Tahiti’s immediate neighbour, boasts its own traditions and the way of life. It is more relaxed and easy-going, as if this was still possible to beat Tahiti on this.
