Tunisia. Unlucky.

Tunisia was a country that saw me break the very first bone in my body! It happened in Douz.  To cut the long story short - I fell a victim to a camel rage.

Overall, Tunisia appeared quite pleasant to me. It was relaxed. People, including women, were free to wear whatever they chose, which was a very positive sign in a country where Islam was the main religion.

Tunisia had also other qualities. These included: magnificent Roman ruins in Dugga, Bulla Regia, Sbeitla, and the very gem - the colosseum in El Jem; walled medinas in Sousse and Sfax; the Saharan landscape in Tozeur and Douz, and the salt lake Chott el Jerid; the coastal resorts of Mahdia and Monastir; and the scented town of Sidi Bou Said, a picturesque place on a cliff overlooking the Bay of Tunis.
