Vanuatu.

Vanuatu has never made to the wish list. Yet connecting flights presented an opportunity to hop there for a day.  Vanuatu has recently been promoting itself as a tourist destination.  And it seem to have worked. A set of holiday resorts have been erected to boost the fragile economy.

Vanuatu, or actually the Efate island, was a great surprise. People were so nice, had distinctive culture and features, the landscape was superb, beaches were isolated and beautiful. And I only scratched the surface. Vanuatu is definitely a place to go back to.
